Methodology

Selection
All index constituents are selected on the basis of their fundamental strength, as measured by MarketGrader's overall grade, and their proven ability to pay dividends consistently. All companies must have a MarketGrader rating of at least 50 (on our 100-point scale), must pay an annual dividend greater than $0.10 per share and must have paid a dividend continuously for at least five years.

Equal Weighting
All index constituents are equally weighted every time the index is rebalanced. No weight modifications or adjustments are made to the portfolio between rebalance periods.

Liquidity
All index constituents must have a minimum total market cap of USD $100 million and a minimum 3-month average daily traded volume of USD $2 million.

Diversification
No more than 25% of the index (25 companies) may belong to the same economic sector.

Rebalance Discipline
The index is rebalanced semi-annually, on the third Friday of March and September.

Strategy

The MarketGrader U.S. Income 100 Index seeks to measure the performance of the highest dividend-yielding companies that satisfy MarketGrader's rigorous fundamental criteria in the United States. It uses a rules-based approach to identify companies that have been consistent dividend payers and are exhibiting increasing dividend yields. The index's goal is to maximize dividend payouts without sacrificing the potential for significant long-term capital appreciation.
